Faan Hup, a family-owned diner on Botanic Avenue, serves up an authentic taste of Hong Kong. Specialising in classic cuisine and beverages, Faan Hup has a fantastic menu featuring a variety of Rice & Noodle dishes, Sides, Sandwiches, Meal Deals, and Sweet Treats.
As well as a daily specials selection, served on a “Faan Hup“ lunchbox (a snip at £10 for two dishes with rice at lunchtime, or £11 in the evening), a full a la carte menu is always available.
We ordered two Chef Specials; a spicy Garlic Chilli Prawn with Stir Fried Spaghetti, and a Deep Fried Fish with Hor Fun- crispy coated monkfish on thick noodles, fragrant with ginger & spring onions. Accompanied by a side dish of Braised Vegetables and Beancurd, this was a delicious and filling lunch.
We also enjoyed the traditional Hong Kong style drinks of refreshing Lemon Tea, and milky Iced Red Bean.
And don’t miss out on the amazing HK Style French Toast with ice-cream, and Crystal’s homemade Pineapple Buns with Butter. Pure indulgence!
