Italian gin brand, Malfy is partnering with Belfast venues, The Crafty Vintner and The Bowery to see out summer in style, bringing a taste of laid-back Amalfi lifestyle to the city, with a series of special events – Ferragosto Fest
Earlier this summer, Malfy and The Crafty Vintner created a stunning Amalfi inspired installation, transforming the frontage of the Lisburn Road venue and creating a new ‘Malfy Terrace’. The eye-catching installation, created in partnership with Malfy, The Crafty Vintner and Look Events, combines lustrous faux foliage, florals and trademark Italian citrus fruits to create a colourful, zesty Italian summer inspired setting.

Building on the success of the Malfy Terrace, the brand is teaming up with The Crafty Vintner and sister venue, The Bowery to present a Crafty series of events, as part of ‘Ferragosto Fest’ between 22-28 August.
So, what is Ferragosto? Every August, Italians down tools from mid-month onwards, taking time out to gather with friends, eat, drink and enjoy a taste of La Dolce Vita (the sweet life).
Inspired by this tradition, Ferragosto Fest will round off summer in true Italian style, encouraging people to take time out with friends with a programme of Crafty events, served with Malfy Gin. Events include an Italian ceramic tile painting workshop with Ashleigh Collim Ceramics (Mon 22 Aug); a three-course Malfy gin dinner (Wed 23 Aug); a candle-making class with Allotment Candles (Thurs 25 Aug); plus a yoga brunch with Hot Yoga Belfast, followed by a summer wrap party on Bank Holiday Sunday (28 Aug).

Commenting on the new installation, Sarah Harvey, brand manager, Malfy Gin said: “Our Malfy Terrace has been a hot spot for summer socialising, and we wanted to do something special to mark what has been a fantastic partnership with The Crafty Vintner. If there’s one thing the Italians do well, it’s coming together to enjoy each other’s company, downing tools, being present in the moment and immersing themselves in cultural activities. We hope Ferragosto Fest will create a space for people to take some time out together, as the summer comes to an end.”
Aislinn Sloan, marketing manager, JAR Group said: “The Malfy Terrace has been hugely popular, allowing us to offer relaxed al fresco dining and drinks, reminiscent of those extended lazy holiday lunches. We’re excited to partner with Malfy to wrap up this creative partnership with this fun series of events that will help see out the summer in style
