Welcome and Room Tour
“Steeped in history” is an often overused and sometimes slightly misleading description of many a hospitality venue in Northern Ireland, but the Bushmills Inn, a beautiful 4-star boutique hotel and restaurant on the Causeway coast, absolutely lives up to the claim, and offers so much more..
Originally a 17th century coaching inn, old world charm oozes from every nook and cranny of this cosy hotel; from crackling fireplaces and snugs in The Gas Bar, to AA Rosette-winning cuisine, and a secret library…..and even a boutique cinema, there’s something fascinating to find behind every door.
We were staying in the “Old Bushmills” Garden View Suite, with a delightfully unique design and heaps of traditional character. Flooded with light, the space is the last word in comfort and luxury, with views overlooking the pretty courtyard garden.
This large duplex suite is split over two floors with a spacious lounge area downstairs, a shower room, and cloakroom, and on the mezzanine, there’s a king size bed with crisp cotton linens, and an en suite bathroom with a stunning roll top bath, luxury towels & dressing gowns, and L’Occitane products.

The Bushmills Inn is the ideal spot for those looking for a unique getaway, with exceptional comfort and service. The welcome is warm and the fire always lit.

2 Course Meal & Cinema Experience – Movie Night at The Bushmills Inn.
Thursday Night is movie night at The Bushmills Inn, and we thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic experience as part of our recent stay.
Firstly, we were treated to a sumptuous two course meal from the Cinema Supper Menu; moist, pink Sea Trout cured in Long Meadow cider, served with a crab linguini in a rich tomato sauce, and Lemon & Black Pepper Cauliflower Steak with a Tuscan bean cassoulet, vegan feta, crispy basil, and saffron aioli.

Then to follow, a rich Chocolate and Orange Tart with vanilla ice cream, and The Innkeeper’s Sticky Toffee Pudding, with a decadently glossy toffee sauce and ice cream.
We also had a fruity bottle of ‘Les Plants Nobles’ Pinot Noir, packed with hints of cherry, blackcurrant and liquorice.
Then upstairs, popcorn and drinks in hand, to the intimate “Still Room” boutique cinema, for a screening of “The Devil Wears Prada 2”.

And of course, as Bushmills is home to the world’s oldest whiskey distillery, it would have been bad form not to have sampled a 12 year old single malt or two before bed.
There are plenty more Cinema Nights coming up, with a fabulous festive programme in the run-up to Christmas, including classics such as “It’s A Wonderful Life”, “Miracle On 34th Street”, and “Elf”.
What a terrific Yuletide treat to enjoy fine dining, followed a movie, in the exclusive surroundings of The Bushmills Inn.
