Gaga Cafe, 489 Lisburn Road

Gaga Cafe

Renowned for its wonderful Boba Teas and Sweet Treats, Gaga Boba on the Belmont Rd and the Lisburn Rd has now expanded its Lisburn Road menu to become “Gaga Cafe” serving Asian inspired brunch and lunch dishes until 4pm daily (closed Mondays).

More photos at the bottom of this post.

Owned and run by William and Christine, the menu features fantastic Asian spins on brunch favourites such as Pork Tocino, and Omurice, but we went for the Wild Mushroom Egg Drop Sandwich: delicious sautéed mushrooms in sliced brioche topped with scrambled eggs and house mayo.

From the lunch menu we adapted the Spice Bag Bowl into a veggie delight, requesting if the meat options could be substituted with smoked tofu, and it worked perfectly with the skinny fries, scallions, pickled veg, peppers, & crispy onions, smothered in house curry.

We also loved the Gaga Bibimbap; a steamed rice bowl topped with spinach, carrots, bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, topped with a spicy chilli house sauce and chunks of warm teriyaki salmon.

And of course, the famous Gaga Boba Teas are phenomenal, in a range of amazing styles, flavours and textures. Try the Matcha or Thai milk tea for an authentic Boba Tea experience!

But make sure you don’t leave without trying some of William’s gelato. Made in-house, the bright purple Ube flavour is a must, as is the vibrant green, coconutty Buko Pandan, especially when sandwiched inside a Gelato Brioche, or served as an Ube Affogato if you’re in need of a caffeine fix!

A brilliant new menu, with incredibly tasty dishes. And keep watching for further exciting developments at Gaga Cafe in the near future!
