Summary of our experience
We were invited by mushroom farmer Terry from Hearty Growers in Banana Block, Portview Trade Centre, to his 90 minute immersive ‘Fungify Me’ workshop, where we got to taste, see, and learn about these incredible fungi, and enjoyed a fascinating tour through this urban mushroom farm.
We sampled mushroom-based goodies like jerky, mushroom teas, mushroom chocolate, and a hearty savoury pie with farm-grown oyster mushrooms: vegan, vegetarian, and meat options are all available, all washed down with some low alcohol mushroom beers from Fungtn brewery.
And for a limited time, to cap off the experience, each participant will receive a free oyster mushroom grow kit, (worth £20). We’ve tried these kits before and they’re fantastic-we had a gorgeous crop of pink oyster mushrooms in no time!

Includes: Farm tour and talk, mushroom-based snacks and beverage sampling, a mushroom-based savory pie and canned mushroom beverage (worth £6), and a Free Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit (worth £20)
