Namaste India, Belfast
Namaste India is a brilliant restaurant in East Belfast, which prides itself in serving authentic Indian dishes using fresh ingredients.
We called in recently before a concert, and enjoyed the usual warm welcome, tempting varied menu, and great value drinks: it’s also BYO!
We started with some crispy poppadoms with dips, and then ordered our favourite special, the Namaste Seafood Combo, which was as tasty as we remembered it; a sizzling feast of king prawns in tamarind, cooked in a clay oven, alongside a pan fried fillet of seabass, and a spicy sauce.
We also loved the Saag Paneer, with chunks of cottage cheese cooked in a vibrant spinach and garlic curry. Accompanied by some chilli naan, and pilau rice, this was a delicious selection of Indian dishes.

51st & Green Lounge
Dublin Airport’s fabulous 51st & Green Lounge, which is available to passengers travelling to North America from Terminal 2, reopened earlier this year after an expansion and refurbishment.
We passed through U.S. Preclearance, and after a short walk we were seated at a fantastic window seat enjoying 51st & Green’s terrific views.
Stylishly designed and spaciously “Zen”, the Lounge has a minimalist feel with a calming coral and terracotta colour palette, and a chilled ambient soundtrack to match.
We indulged ourselves with a great hot and cold breakfast selection, and a glass or two. A full Irish breakfast is available alongside bakery items, pancakes, granola, artisan cheese & charcuterie platters, and fruit & yoghurt. Later in the day, there’s a hot buffet featuring a generous selection of dishes such as curries, slow-cooked meats, vegetarian options, and freshly made sandwiches and salads.
51st & Green is designed to help you relax and recharge before the flight with some delicious Irish food and drink, quiet workstations, access to online publications, and shower facilities, all just minutes from the U.S. departure gates.
