Meet the Only Known Panto Dame Who Takes to the Air!

This year Yellow Jumper Production of Robin Hood show features the incredible Lennin Nelson McClure as Dame Little Joan, the only known panto dame performing aerial acrobatics. Audiences are already gasping, laughing, and cheering as Lennin swings, twirls, and soars above the stage, bringing a completely new level of spectacle to panto.

Alan in Belfast on McClure’s performance:
“McClure impressed with his silk work in Cinderella last Christmas but casting him as the dame this year is a stroke of genius. He makes good use of Dame Little Joan’s curvy assets, though dangling upside-down from a rope above the stage. He has a really comfortable rapport with the audience that always gets the last laugh without anyone being humiliated.”
Joining the aerial antics of Dame Little Joan is a stellar cast: Aaron Ferguson as the devilish Sheriff of Nothingman, Laura Francisca Shaw as the madcap Maid Martini, Tiarnan McCarron in title role of Robin Hood. All under the observant eye of experienced writer/director Sarah Lyle.

Together, they bring big laughs, heart, and festive sparkle to the stage, creating a Christmas treat that audiences won’t forget.

This Christmas, prepare for magic, mischief, and a high-flying Dame who’s literally taking this panto to new heights!
McClure remarks: “Who can say they get to mix two of their favourite things together theatre and circus. I’m so grateful to be able to mix circus with a new skill of being a panto dame. I love the challenge of flying in the air, hanging upside down without the wig budging. No other Christmas show has a dame doing aerial so that’s extra special for this already amazing show “
1Family audiences are equally enchanted: – “So funny and so relatable — this is going to be hard to beat for the kids this Christmas“
And The Mayor, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick, adds:
“‘Robin Hood’ the Panto is a must for your Christmas Calendar this year. Packed with laughter, adventure, and festive cheer, it’s the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas.”
Yellow Jumper Productions launched their festive spectacular, Robin Hood the Panto, at Theatre at The Mill, Newtownabbey on 6 December, running until 3 January 2026. The show marks Yellow Jumper Productions’ second Christmas at The Mill, returning after last year’s top-class production of Cinderella, penned and directed by Sarah Lyle, to once again win rave reviews.
