From the team behind Monad in East Belfast, Marcel is a new Bistro serving stunningly good dishes, cocktails & wines in a warm, contemporary venue, featuring a menu with a modern French slant.
Some of the fantastic Monad staples are still there, including the deliciously oozy GougƩres, and the Mushroom Arancini under an avalanche of grated Parmesan. And the Smoked Haddock & Salmon Fishcake on fennel salad with tartare sauce was a gorgeous starter, especially accompanied by a Negroni and a Marcel Old Fashioned.
Mains are also excellent. Delicious, crispy skinned Seabass Cioppino with squid, mussels and prawns in a lightly spiced tomato sauce, and probably the best pasta dish weāve tasted in a long time; a creamy, earthy Mushroom Rigatoni.
To finish, the Apple Tart with vanilla ice cream was pretty as a picture, and the reinvented intensely cocoa-rich Chocolate Delice is even more decadently moreish.
There are also Sunday Roast options available, and a Lunch and Pre Theatre Prix Fixe Deal all night Thursday, and 1200-1500, & 1700-1800 on Fridays & Saturdays.

Roam
Roam is, in our opinion, one of the best restaurants in Belfast City Centre, serving the finest local ingredients, careful crafted into beautifully presented, utterly delicious dishes.
We started our evening with some great quality cocktails, and munched on some snacks; moist Stout & Treacle Bread & Whipped Butter with Sea Salt, a delicate Tuna, Lime, & Sesame Tartlet, and Crispy Beef Cheek with Ballinvarrig Cheddar.
To follow, the starters of Kilkeel Scallops with Squash, Lardo, & Hazelnut, Pearl Barley with Mushroom, Parsley, & Samphire, and Portavogie Langoustines in Lemon Butter, were all perfection on a plate.
And the main courses were also stunning; Coley with Shiitake in a White Miso Beurre Blanc, a Vegetarian Pithivier with Parsnip & Kale, and Roast Duck with Celeriac and Pickled Red Cabbage, accompanied by a side dish of Crushed Baby Potatoes.
Featuring a changing, seasonal a la carte style menu, Roam provides a unique yet casual dining experience: attentive but informal, simple but sophisticated.

We had a fantastically festive evening at Trademarket Belfast in one of their twelve ingenious igloos which will hold up to 10 people looking for a unique Yuletide experience.
Revellers can enjoy drinks from the new festive cocktail menu and food from all your favourite vendors who have some delicious seasonal specials.
And the Christmas spirit was definitely in the air, with some superbly scrumptious selections; from Katsu Kitchenās spicy delights, to Pi Guyās perfect pizzas, from Rebel and Ruseās smokinā scran to creamy treats from Moon Gelato, thereās something for everyone.
To accompany the food, the cocktails were top notch; we loved the āOutlandishā-a creamy delight featuring two of our favourites, Two Stacks cream liqueur & Outwalker Whiskey, and the āStouts Outā with Irish Stout Whiskey and Coffee Tequila. Fabulous!
And of course, what about a warming Buckfast Mulled Wine? Yes please!Ā
