Our Christmas Campaign – All Wrapped Up
This year’s campaign is centered around the theme: “All Wrapped Up.” From the décor to the ambience, the food and the drinks – we have Christmas, all wrapped up! You can find out more about our Christmas programme HERE.
We had a fantastic evening enjoying fabulous food and drink at the Coq & Bull Brasserie, which offers the finest local and seasonal produce in a contemporary, welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant and bar area is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated, looking particularly Christmassy on the run up to the festive season.
We received a warm welcome from the attentive staff, and enjoyed a couple of terrific cocktails before we were shown to a stunning window table, from which we could see a wonderful, twinkling Yuletide display.
The menu champions artisan produce from local farms and suppliers, and to start, we had Locally Smoked Salmon with dill and poppy seed scones, horseradish cream and compressed cucumber relish, and tender rings of Salt and Pepper Squid with chilli butter and slaw.
To follow, we had perfectly cooked Irish Sea Bass with lemon butter sauce, wild mushrooms, gnocchi and stem broccoli, and Lemongrass & Soy marinated chicken brochette, with a spicy Thai satay sauce, and a carrot and sesame seed salad.
And desserts were also delicious; Steamed Gingerbread Pudding with poached pear, butterscotch sauce and cream, and a Hot Chocolate and Salted Caramel Pudding with Draynes Farm vanilla ice cream, all washed down with a glass of Late Autumn Harvest Dessert Wine from Coq & Bull’s terrific drinks list.
Coq & Bull is the perfect spot for relaxed, welcoming hospitality, and a top-notch dining experience.
