WB’s Coffee House, & Sligo Food Trail.
Since 2014, Aisling Kelly Hunter’s WB’s Coffee House on Stephen Street, Sligo, has been an award winning café in the heart of the town, and is also the home of the Sligo Oyster Experience.
WB’s Coffee House is suitably located next to the famous W.B. Yeats Statue, and serves up a great selection of food and drink, from breakfasts and lunches, to soups, sandwiches, and sweet treats. And there are some lovely gift ideas available in-store.
Also, Aisling is an active member of the Sligo Food Trail and we took away some yummy Sligo Picnic goodies from WB’s to enjoy. This new collaboration between Sligo Food Trail and Visit Sligo encourages visitors and locals alike to savour the very best food and drink while exploring the county’s fabulous scenery.
From cafés and hotels, to restaurants and artisan producers, members of the Sligo Food Trail have created premium picnic experiences, perfect for seashore strolls, countryside walks, or even, as we did, in the town itself!
Our picnic included spicy chicken wraps, vegan sausage rolls, chocolate banana bread, protein balls, and granola pots.
The Sligo Picnic reflects the Council’s commitment to the growing food tourism industry in the area, and gives visitors the opportunity to discover delicious local flavours combining taste, place, and community.

Sligo Oyster Experience.
Aisling Kelly Hunter’s WB’s Coffee House on Stephen Street, Sligo, is also the home of the Sligo Oyster Experience where you can taste the best oysters Sligo has to offer!
We had a platter of delicious Oysters served in a variety of styles; natural, herb crusted, cheese-baked, Drumshanbo gin & peppers, and whiskey butter with pine nut and tomato. Sensational!
There are a number of unique experiences available, including oyster tasting with wine at the Café, as well as a Sligo Oyster Farm Tour- an immersive guided tour, which includes a visit to Coney Island working oyster farm.
