Having heard the buzz about Belfast Burger on the Crumlin Rd, we had to stop off at this award-winning spot to try the food for ourselves.
As worthy winners of Best Burger Takeaway in Northern Ireland in the 2024 NI Takeaway Awards, Best Burger to Go in the Northern Ireland Food to Go Awards, and also MSN/MICROSOFT’s UK’s Top 20 Best Burger Takeaways, Belfast Burger’s 100% Handmade Beef Burgers use a bespoke blend of chuck, short rib and brisket making them incredibly tasty.
Belfast Burger’s mantra is simplicity; chargrilling the best local ingredients topping them with fresh garnishes (even the toppings have been transformed with a few secret seasonings and marinades) and serving up great accompaniments such as crispy skin-on fries and mac ‘n’ cheese bites.
We loved the clever nods to Belfast’s shipbuilding history: from the H&W influenced branding, to the Samson & Goliath double cheeseburger, and even a spicy “Pirrie” Sauce named after Lord Pirrie!
There’s also a healthier option in the Chargrilled Chicken Fillet Burger: whole chicken beast, marinated, then chargrilled to perfection.
Not only that, but veggies and vegans don’t miss out on the incredible chargrilled flavour-the Beyond Meat Burger is plant-based brilliance!
