The dictionary definition of “lineage” states a direct descent from an ancestor; ancestry or pedigree. And this couldn’t be more apt due to owner Finley’s close family connection to the former butcher’s shop before it was finally turned into a café.
And the reinvented “Lineage” certainly has an excellent pedigree, with its speciality coffee, tasty brunch style dishes, and homemade bakes.
We had a summery Warm Chicken & Bacon Caesar Salad with extra halloumi, and a vegetarian version of the Italian Toastie with sundried tomato, mozzarella, freshly made pesto, and rocket, served with a side salad.
And the sweet treats are not to be missed; from delicious berry and white chocolate scones and cinnamon rolls made in house, to lemon shortbread and carrot cake from Fjord Bakery, make sure to leave room and indulge in a beautiful bake!
