The elegant upstairs restaurant has a cosmopolitan vibe, with its rich cobalt blue and yellow ochre colour scheme, and is the ideal spot for a city lunch or dinner date, a relaxed brunch, or a luxurious afternoon tea. There’s also a stylish outdoor terrace on which to enjoy the food and drink whilst taking in the views.
And now, Parisien has launched a range of terrific new Express Lunch options as part of its extended à la carte menu (just look for the Eiffel Tower icons!), and we were delighted to have been invited along to find out what was on offer.
We started with a couple of fantastic Cocktails, a Blood & Smoke Paloma, and a B.V.D, before moving onto our starters; a Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle with truffle butter & parmesan, and a ripe, oozy Crispy Camembert Wedge with red onion marmalade & a pickled vegetable salad.
Our main courses included a golden, crunchy Beer Battered Cod with crushed petit pois, sauce gribiche, & triple cooked chips, and a rich French Onion Risotto with Gruyère, parmesan, & roasted shallots.
And we couldn’t resist having a couple of desserts; a Warm Cherry Clafoutis with toasted almonds, candied orange zest served with a milk ice-cream, and a crispy-topped Crème Brûlée with macerated strawberries, which was topped with a crumbly vanilla sable biscuit & strawberry sorbet. Delicious!
With a main course and a drink for just £19.75, the Express Lunch is perfect for both busy professionals needing a quick bite between meetings, or for diners who can linger a little longer, with two courses for £25.25 or three for £30.75, Parisien is ideal for a relaxing, great value lunch with friends or family.
