Located in Drumbeg, Robert Stewarts Spirit Grocer, more familiarly known as Bob Stewart’s, has been serving customers for over four hundred years.
This traditional pub and restaurant serves great food and drink seven days a week, and is a fantastic place to bring friends and family. There’s also live music from local performers to accompany the hearty grub.
We cycled up for lunch on Turner The Tandem, and were soon relaxing with a great pint and some terrific pub favourites; Steak and Guinness Pie (a snip at £12 including sides), Harissa Chargrilled Chicken Burger, and a gorgeous catch of the day-flaky Fillet of Hake with a lemon and chive velouté, mixed greens, and champ.
Desserts are also delicious. The Apple and Berry Crumble was comfort food at its best, and there was a rich vegan Chocolate & Orange Tart with sorbet, perfect for pepping us up for the cycle home!
