We were delighted, and indeed intrigued, to have been invited to a Secret Autumnal Soirée recently; whisked away on a mystery coach trip with a fantastic bunch of equally curious travelling companions (and a sartorially dressed “stallion” giving us tantalising clues along the way), we eventually arrived at The Hunting Lodge, Moy.
A beautiful country house, with stables & gardens set in the scenic Irish countryside, this stunning family home has been lovingly reimagined to retain many period features whilst having been tastefully and sympathetically updated to include all modern amenities.
The decor is neutral, restful and luxurious in tone, with a colour palette reflecting the natural surroundings, and a wonderful selection of artworks and decorative features. We particularly loved the framed vintage waistcoats and jackets on display: very “up our street”!
We had an idyllic afternoon exploring the house and grounds, enjoying some terrific cocktails in the Lodge’s own bar area, tucking into a sumptuous feast courtesy of “The Green Room”, (instagram HERE) and having a singalong with the talented Peter McKernan (Instagram HERE).
It was also delightful to meet the family, and learn about how their vision for The Hunting Lodge had come to life in such a wonderful way.
The Hunting Lodge can comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests, and would be perfect for special events, family gatherings, relaxing retreats, exclusive stays, and wedding celebrations.
