Belfast’s five-star accommodation and hospitality house The Regency, tucked neatly into South Belfast’s Upper Crescent, recently invited us to experience the venue’s special edition Festive Afternoon Tea.

On arrival, we were struck by the timeless elegance of the decor, and the beautifully appointed accommodation and guest facilities.
And during the Festive period, The Regency has opened its opulent Crescent Suite where we enjoyed an afternoon tea filled with an assortment of sweet and savoury delights, and experienced the culinary artistry of Gemma Austin from “A Peculiar Tea”, who has fabulously transformed the traditional afternoon tea into a festival of flavours and Yuletide treats, inspired by some of our favourite Christmas movies. We’ll not spoil the surprise, but Kevin McCallister’s Cranberry Pizza was a cinematic sensation!
The beautiful array of traditional Christmas sandwiches, with terrific veggie options, savoury canapés, homemade scones with chocolate and marmalade, and delicate, melt-in-the-mouth patisserie were accompanied by a warming selection of SD Bell’s teas. Or why not enjoy a glass of champagne-after all, it is Christmas!
Afternoon Tea at The Regency is the last word in luxury, festivity, and delicious, perfectly presented treats. The ideal Christmas indulgence!
